Job Description
We have a full-time, junior to intermediate QA position open to be filled immediately by a Canadian resident. While our Vancouver office is located on Granville Island, this role will be fully remote (work-from-home), with the option of working at the office if the employee wishes to. Must be able to work in PST or EST time zones.
We are a software development company focused on products that help deliver, monitor and manage training to organizations that are maximizing operational safety. Our initial focus has been in the maritime industry. Our client list includes well known customers in Canada, United States and Europe such as Carnival Corporation, the Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard. It is fantastic to be part of a growing company - lots of exciting things happening all the time.
Although sometimes we work hard, we have a great respect for work/life balance. In my humble opinion, this is a great place to work with very friendly people, happy office dogs, great customers, and fun challenges. Oh - and word on the street is that the boss is a terrific guy, if I do say so myself :-)
We are looking foremost for someone who:
- loves to test web applications
- is intelligent, efficient, energetic, and well organized
- has a friendly attitude and a positive outlook
- has clear spoken and written English communication
- can write elegant test scripts
- comfortable coding and understands automated testing and the tools used to make that happen
- is able to start the job ASAP and get up to speed quickly
Your education and experience:
- Ideally has a university computer science degree (4-year)
- Experience with Selenium/Python
- Familiar with SQL Server, Entity framework code first, WCF, ASP.Net MVC
- Experience with C# and also understanding Object-Oriented programming, databases and REST API are an asset
- Ultimately, we want someone who loves testing and the detective work that goes with it, and who aspires to a career in QA with a lot of opportunity for advancement.
If you are interested, please apply ASAP with your resume. A university transcript would be helpful too. Also include any additional information about you that you believe makes you the perfect addition to our team.
Pay will be negotiated, but in the range appropriate to a junior or intermediate position.
Can't wait to meet you!
Murray Goldberg
