If you answered yes, our Pinawa, Whitshell location is looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to support the Talent Acquisition Advisor with executing a talent acquisition strategy that drives a memorable candidate experience. There would also be pre-planned travel to Job Fairs, Industry Events and CNL-hosted Career Fairs (mostly in the province). The majority of your time will be spent working remotely.
What you will be doing!
- Administrative Support – Provide day-to-day support to the Talent Acquisition Advisor
- Advertising positions on a variety of job boards
- Reviewing and submitting applications for review
- Corresponding with hiring managers, bargaining unit representatives, candidates, etc.
- Setting reminders and follow-up for active open positions
- Reporting & Data Collection
- Maintaining and updating the Recruitment Tracking Spreadsheet
- Creating, maintaining and producing monthly reports for hiring managers, including the status of active and upcoming positions
- Maintaining applicant tracking system and producing reports as requested
- Maintaining the security tracking spreadsheet
- Ad hoc report and information requests as needed
- Full Cycle Recruitment
- Reviewing incoming Request to Hire Forms for accuracy and soliciting additional information as needed from administrators and hiring managers
- Reviewing, shortlisting, coordinating with hiring managers and pre-screen potential candidates
- Researching and providing internal candidate records and background
- Scheduling pre-screens and interviews (as required)
- Sending out interview materials to hiring managers and panels
- Sitting in on interviews as needed
- Performing reference checks (as required)
- Producing, writing and reviewing offer letters (as required)
- Ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to the Human Resources Service Delivery team and onboarding
- Follow up with candidates who did not move forward in the selection process
- Student Program – Coordinate all activities
- Organizing an effective recruitment timeline and communicating to hiring teams
- Reviewing requests to hire and providing recommended changes for job postings
- Advertising positions and communicating advertising periods to educational institutions, identified students, etc.
- Reviewing resumes, shortlisting based on qualifications, and submitting for consideration
- Corresponding with hiring teams to ensure timely selections of students, providing salary recommendations, offers creation, etc.
- Producing, writing and reviewing offer letters
- Other
- Supporting, organizing and attending career fairs, job fairs, job pools and recruiting events
- Managing Market Impact Assessments (LMIA) and coordinating information sharing and updates with other internal departments and external vendors
- Completing monthly expenses reports
- Initiating and supporting the relocation assistance program
What we are looking for:
- Degree or diploma from a college or university program in the field of Human Resources or Business Administration
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in full-cycle recruitment
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience with full-cycle student recruitment
- Experience with using and administering an Applicant Tracking System, Taleo is an asset
- Experience with using an HRIS system, Oracle and asset
- Expertise working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to manage multiple calendars and manipulate Excel for tracking and reporting purposes
- Experience in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities and deadline-driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must embrace the ever-changing work environment and proactively make recommendations to change. Must be a ‘change agent’ willing to help others accept and understand change, share their skills and proactively learn new skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentially
- Familiarity with highly unionized environment and the ability to read and interpret collective agreements
- Knowledge of job advertisement boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, jobbank etc.
- Knowledge of Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process for purposes of hiring foreign workers
- Knowledge of CNL’s security clearance requirements as they apply to candidates’ traceable history
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.
