Anaya Arts is an innovative art brand located in Ottawa in search of sales associates to join the team at our shop at the Rideau Shopping Centre. We primarily sell wall art, as well as art-based apparel and accessories.

As a Sales Associate you will report directly to the Store Managers. You will work as part of the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences that ultimately result in achieving your sales goals. The Sales Associate represents the brand, operates in a professional manner, engages customers, and supports teamwork. Experience in a department store/mall environment required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
- Drive sales by engaging with customers, upselling products and sharing product knowledge.
- Demonstrate a high degree of customer service while processing all refunds, exchanges, and purchases in accordance with company guidelines.
- Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Demonstrate the appropriate level of selling skills to positively impact conversion.
- Actively work with garments, accessories, mannequins, art prints, frames and tea samples.
Requirements:
- High School degree or diploma.
- 1-2 years of retail sales and cash handling experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in a department store/mall environment considered a plus.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem solving, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to recognize and execute selling opportunities while creating customer experiences that makes them want to come back.
- Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced retail store setting.
- Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Available to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed (general mall hours).
- Adhere to all Covid health & safety and security procedures.
- Experience as a Department or Assistant Manager considered an asset.

Part-time hours: 5-20 per week
Salary: $15.50-$16.00 per hour
