Technicore Group of Companies (“Technicore”) is 100% Canadian owned and operated and one of this country’s big players in heavy underground construction and steel and concrete pressure pipe manufacturing. Our portfolio stems across various areas including rail, transit and pedestrian tunnels, watermain, storm and sanitary sewer, as well as hydro and utility tunnels. Technicore operates as a fully vertically integrated company with cross-functional subsidiaries to include manufacturing and servicing, sewer and water pipe, tunnel & shaft support systems manufacturing, haulage and specialty concrete mixes for civil works.
We are looking to add a Welder - Robot Programmer to join our team at our facility in Newmarket, Ontario.
Responsibilities
Perform basic programming setup, changes, and troubleshooting.
Set-up and troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems. Provide technical support for operators as they load/shuttle/weld/unload welded assemblies to improve inefficiencies, access adequacy of tooling, and troubleshoot issues.
Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.
Set up I/O structure and robot start-up.
Responsible to help direct all project activities: controls, electrical, mechanical and project management and assist others through to project completion. Responsible for all programming activities as well as directing robotic tasks to completion.
Collaborate with production team to resolve issues with parts availability, product quality, schedule performance, productivity improvements, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Participate in meetings for tooling design and development.
Qualifications
- Possess a thorough knowledge of robot programming for industrial equipment
- Possess a thorough overall understanding of welding and material handling. Experience with one or more of the following robotic manufacturer's equipment: Motoman and Fanuc Nachi.
- Experience in touching up Welder Paths.
Past experience programming in a manufacturing environment is desired. 1-2 years in a production manufacturing environment.
Education: Must have college diploma in Robotics, or related field of study and/or equivalent industry experience.
