Who We Are:
Dunk & Associates/Systems 24-7 is a privately-owned Canadian company in operation since 2000, specializing in helping employers create safe, healthy workplaces. We do this by assisting companies in managing their workplace programs, such as Health & Safety, Human Resources, and Wellness and providing them with our in-house developed employee “hub”, Systems 24-7. Our Customer Support Team assists our clients from a wide variety of industries to achieve success by lending our expertise, experience, and support.
The Professional HR/Health & Safety Consultant is a remote work position, with some training sessions or meetings held within the Niagara Region. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday on either an 8:00 am to 4:30 pm shift or a 10:30 am to 7:00 pm shift (with a minimum of one-afternoon shift per week).

The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $60,000 depending upon professional designation status, skill level, and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Professional HR and H&S Consultant is an intermediate role and is responsible for the following:
- Working within the Professional Department to assist clients in all provinces and territories across Canada with their questions through phone or email in respect to their Human Resources and Health and Safety programs.
- Developing content for programs (policies, forms, SOPs, training, etc.).
- Making outbound phone calls to support existing clients in our programs.
- Remaining current in updates to laws and standards in Occupational Health and Safety, Employment Standards and Human Rights across Canada.
- Reviewing and processing Workers’ Compensation Claims from various provinces.
- Facilitating webinars and training sessions in relation to Health & Safety and HR.
- Learning and assisting clients with the basic functions of Systems 24-7.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The Ideal candidate will possess:
- Above all else, an attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines as required.
- A safety-conscious mindset.
- A skillset for problem-solving.
- A professional designation in Human Resources (CHRP or CHRL).
- A college diploma and/or university degree.
- A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate (verbally and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- The ability to learn and adapt to new technology/systems quickly as Dunk & Associates uses the latest and greatest technology.
- The ability to take direction both verbally and written, ask for directions, and to prioritize work to self-manage your workload.
- The ability to research legislations, standards and best practices in the field of Human Resources and Health and Safety.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Experience on a safety committee member or safety representative is an asset.
- An Adult Education Certificate is an asset.
- Fluent in French is an asset.
Other Requirements:
- A quiet, designated home office space is required. This must be separate from other living spaces (i.e. cannot be at the kitchen table, the living room, or other shared spaces)
- Your own equipment (i.e. computer, monitors, printer, etc.) with an active anti-virus installed. A monthly allowance will be provided to assist with this. Must have a minimum of 2 monitors.
- A reliable high-speed internet service with an ethernet connection. For data security, the candidate is unable to connect to our programs through a Wi-Fi connection.
- Availability to work rotating afternoon shifts.
- Occasional travel will be required to attend meetings and training sessions (mostly within the Niagara region) including at least a one-week orientation session.
- A Criminal Background Check will be required upon hiring. Those with charges of theft and fraud will not be hired.
