As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Team Member to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Sales Team Member, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and acquiring new clients while nurturing and strengthening relationships with existing customers. MUST HAVE ATLEAST 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN LOGISTICS SALES.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and target potential clients in the transportation industry, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other relevant businesses.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitive activities.
- Utilize various channels, such as cold calling, networking events, industry associations, and digital platforms, to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries.
- Understand clients' transportation needs, challenges, and goals, and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our company's value proposition, service offerings, and competitive advantages.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and analyze customers' transportation requirements to propose suitable solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contractual agreements, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for the client and the company.
Sales Growth and Targets:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the company.
- Continuously monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the sales management team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of the trucking industry, including an understanding of freight logistics, transportation modes, and related services.
- Proven track record of sales success, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
