You will also manage the ongoing activities of BDC’s social media employee advocacy program, coordinate with the agencies to amplify content and support the team in different projects.As Social Media Senior Advisor at BDC, you are resourceful, autonomous, curious and structured. - Works in collaboration with colleagues of the marketing communication team and other departments to build social media content strategies and ensure alignment.
- Curates, creates and publishes content for social media platforms where BDC has a presence.
- Keeps the social media content calendar up-to-date and makes sure it supports BDC’s priorities.
- Creates briefs and collaborates daily with the creatives and copywriters to support the creation of social media posts.
- Manages ongoing activities for the Social Media Employee Advocacy program to ensure adoption and engagement. Responsibilities include curating content aligned with BDC’s strategy, creating campaigns to increase employee participation, vendor management, and reporting.
- Works with agencies to create effective boosted post campaigns and tactics to support business strategies.
- Analyzes and provides reporting for the various social platforms and boosted post campaigns. Uses insights to optimize and improve future performance.
- Presents recommendations and delivers plans to increase BDC’s organic presence in existing and new social media channels.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and provides colleagues and partners with social media expertise.
- Stays abreast of social media latest trends, platforms algorithm and policy changes and constantly adapts the content to sustain BDC’s visibility and engagement levels.
- Stays on top of the latest news and economic trends affecting small and medium-sized businesses as well as entrepreneurs’ preferred modes and channels of communication.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Graduate or undergraduate degree in communications, marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in social media and in a similar work environment.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills for social media is a must.
- Strong understanding of social media monitoring and reporting tools, website technology, social and email marketing.
- Experience in or knowledge of the financial, entrepreneurship or B2B sectors is an asset.
- 360-degree social media experience, including strategy development, community management, content marketing, organic and paid posts, etc.
- Proficiency in project management with effective time and priority management skills, a must.
- Fully bilingual, written and spoken (English and French).
