The Opportunity
CarePros is hiring multiple Casual Child & Youth Care Workers in Leduc, AB. This role is most commonly in a group home setting providing care to children and youth with complex behavioural needs.
At CarePros, our programs are unlike what you would expect in a traditional group home setting. Our programs are structured around the individual child/youth that you will be caring for, with a 1-1 & 2-1 (staff to youth ratio). This provides a safe environment where you can develop a meaningful relationship with the youth you are responsible for caring for.
You will report directly to the Field Supervisor of your assigned program, who will be your key source of training, guidance, and support through your journey at CarePros.

Availability Requirements
- This position will be casual and should have availability for Monday-Friday 2-10 pm & 3-9 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am- 9pm, or all the days in the week 3-11 pm or 4pm- 12 am.

What You'll Do
- Establish a relationship to guide and support youth through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
- Supervise children/youth at home and in the community
- Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations.
- Participate in the Care Team through the ongoing development of care plans and programs
- Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning & organization
Who You Are
- Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioural and mental health needs
- Knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness practices
- Knowledge of processes and procedures for providing home care
- Trauma Informed Care practices
- Six (6) months+ of related experience working with youth
- Completion of Degree/Diploma in Human Services field
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level CPR + AED
- Police Information Check; including Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 3 months (This can be applied for during the interview process)
- Children Services Intervention Record Check within the last 3 months (This can be applied for during the interview process)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technology skills
Additional Assets/Skills that you may bring to the table
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Current driver's abstract
- Reliable vehicle and auto insurance (with $2mm coverage)
