Job Description
Maternal Health Niagara specializes in supporting people during the perinatal period AND BEYOND. Our team of providers is passionate about providing quality care to our community. Maternal Health Niagara has been awarded the St. Catharines Readers Choice Award for four consecutive years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021). We are looking for a skilled clinician to complement the team.
- MUST have training in couples therapy
- MUST have 2+ years of experience in psychotherapy
- Provide in-person services in St. Catharines
- MUST be registered and in good standing with OCSWSSW & CRPO
- Liability insurance
- Demonstrated skills in perinatal mental health and trauma. (Training completed by an approved Perinatal program or prepared to complete)
- Play Therapy for children (an additional skill set as we are having more referrals for this population).
- Understanding of complex trauma, attachment and medical trauma.
- Trauma Training such as EMDR, Brainspotting, FLASH, SE
- Clinical lens including IFS, EFT, Attachment, Mindfullness, SE, DBT- Relational approaches. (Not looking for solution focused or brief therapy. Looking for skills BEYOND just CBT)
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Warm and nurturing clinical presence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in providing crisis and bereavement counselling.

Education:
- Master's Degree (required)
Experience:
- Psychotherapy: 3 years (preferred)
