Your Opportunity
A student placement at Leena, gives you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a diverse and supportive environment. You will work alongside our experienced team of therapists, providing counseling services using an evidence-based, culturally competent, trauma-informed approach to our diverse clientele. This placement will offer you invaluable learning opportunities, growth potential, and exposure to various therapeutic modalities.
Responsibilities
During your placement at Leena, you will be involved in a range of responsibilities, including:
- Assisting in client assessments and treatment planning.
- Participating in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy sessions under the supervision of experienced therapists.
- Maintaining accurate client records, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Respecting and upholding client confidentiality, following ethical and legal guidelines.
- Collaborating with other community supports to develop holistic care plans for clients.
- Assisting in crisis interventions and referrals to mental health resources.
- Monitoring client progress and contributing to treatment plan adjustments.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and staying informed about best practices in psychotherapy.
- Supporting psychotherapy students as needed.
- Assisting in the delivery of mental health workshops for communities and organizations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this student placement opportunity, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Enrolled in a recognized counseling or therapy program at an accredited institution.
- Strong passion for mental health and a desire to make therapy accessible to underserved communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Respect for client confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.
