Employment opportunity: CAFE TEAM MEMBER, LA ROCCIA CLUBHOUSE CAFE

Lakeland Golf Management, which manages the day-to-day golf and F&B operations at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Victoria, BC is seeking the services of CAFE TEAM MEMBERS for the 2023 season, preferably individuals who remain available during the week in to the fall and winter season. .
About Cedar Hill Golf Course and the LA ROCCIA CAFE
The Cedar Hill Golf Course is in the heart of Saanich and is owned by the District of Saanich. The golf course is recognized as one of the busiest municipal golf courses in Canada. It is a par 67 golf course that is a good test of golf for all skill levels. LA ROCCIA CLUBHOUSE CAFE was formerly a Grab and Go Concession that has been upscaled to a Takeout Café, offering an Espresso Menu and in house prepared sandwiches and baked goods.
Responsibilities
-Opening or closing duties of the Café operation. The Café is open 5 days a week in the off season, and 7 days a week in the peak/ summer season.
-We are seeking candidates who go the extra mile to ensure incredible customer service.
-Responsible for proper cash handling procedures as well as making sure that all standards of operations are being met.
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the facility as per your Food Safe Certification, and in conjunction with the policies and checklists established by LA ROCCIA Café management.
-Converse with our valued customers in a friendly manner, developing relationships to encourage a friendly environment.
-Work with the Café Manager to be informed about promotions and to communicate important information to be published or promoted.
-Daily restocking of Café inventory.
-Follow guidelines and procedures established by Lakeland Golf Management.
-Ensure daily assignments are completed in their respective areas to meet Lakeland Golf Management standards.
-Notify supervisors of guest complaints at the time they occur and resolve customer complaints as soon as possible.
-Perform additional duties as may arise and as may be assigned.
We are seeking individuals who:
- have current Food Safe Level 1 and Serving it Right Certification.
-can commit to being available for the entire summer/peak season (May-Oct), with the ability to work either an open or close shift. (The open shift in the summer starts @10:00, the close shift is here until 7:00 PM). Must be available for some weekend work, we do our best to spread the workload and days of work evenly.
-have previous Café, Restaurant or F&B experience.
-knowledge of the game of golf is considered an asset but not necessary, previous F&B experience is considered mandatory.
-Standard First Aid Certification would be considered an asset.
-are always wearing a smile.
Reports directly to the Café Manager.
