Position Overview
The Lloydminster Interval Home Society is currently seeking up to 3 casual Team Associates at “For the Interval” Store (FIS) and “the Impact Depot” (ID). Reporting to the Team Leads or designate, these Team Associates will be energetic, hardworking, reliable and possess a passion for providing an excellent donor, customer, and volunteer experience in support of the Lloydminster Interval Home Society.
The successful candidates will provide collective leadership in the day-to-day operations of FIS and ID and offer service provision to our customers, our clients, our donors, and our volunteers. They will be comfortable working in any area of our operations, as well as opening or closing as required – independently and as part of a team. The candidate MUST be willing and available to work weekends including Saturday and Sunday daytime shifts (not EVERY weekend, but most!). There is also the opportunity to cover shifts for full time staff during the week. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
The main areas these roles will work in include:
- Front-facing, fast paced retail environments. These are not your regular retail environments! We currently operate 2 thrift stores, so these roles include opening, closing, operating our POS system, customer interactions, client support and so much more! - Donor interactions, warehouse work and inventory management. These roles are for receiving donations, a quick sorting of these items into the correct departments, and loading, unloading and transporting items between our locations. If you think this type of environment is your thing - critical thinking, 3 years driving experience, being on your feet and lifting required! - please apply!
- Teaching, training and supporting our volunteers in ALL roles of our operations is one of the most important functions and competency we are looking for in our employees. Are you great at building relationships? Are you patient? Creative? Mature? Please apply!
Qualifications:
These enthusiastic, professional individuals MUST work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills. You also need to know how to use Office 365. A minimum of one year of retail experience, direct social service provision or inventory management and warehousing is REQUIRED. If you don’t have experience in at least one of these areas, you will not be considered for employment with us at this time. A valid drivers license, and a clean driving record is mandatory, along with a minimum of 3 years driving and insurable history.
