Learning & Development Specialist
Location: Onsite, Toronto, ON
Position Overview:
The Learning and Development Specialist will be the central point of contact for a variety of learning and development initiatives. The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the strategy, development, implementation, management, communications, and administration of new programs and initiatives.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the execution of various projects that drive our Learning & Development Agenda. They will foster a growth mindset, own the accountabilities of their work, drive innovation for improvements and lead by example with communications and collaborations. They will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging learning content ensuring employees have a seamless learning experience. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail and a well-developed sense of service delivery with a team-focused approach.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of coordinator/learning experience or relevant industry experience- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Teams, SharePoint and Power Automate
- Experience designing dynamic eLearning modules, videos and webinars; familiarity with Articulate Storyline.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, excel, word and outlook.
- Minimum 3 years of e-learning authoring software required.
- Experience planning, designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering learning and development programs, including in-person and e-learning environments
- Manage day-to-day logistics of learning programs (scheduling, updating materials, communications, attendance, reporting etc.)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong written, presentation facilitation skill with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Results oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time wisely.
- Excellent planning, organizing and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, work accurately within timelines
- Positive and energetic attitude, have a bias for action and adept at engaging diverse learning audiences.
Key Accountabilities:
Design, develop and deliver learning initiatives that enhance the capabilities of the organization utilizing a blended learning approach.- Team up with SMEs to curate top-notch internal and external learning content.
- Update and modernize onboarding processes with fresh, tech driven strategies.
- Harness Microsoft platforms for cutting edge, future-proof initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of new learning technologies and solutions.
- Implement a cutting-edge Learning Site for TPH Employees
- Spearhead the launch and refinement of our employee self-assessment and learning plans.
- Chart a road map and career journey for 'certified' trainers.
- Maintain and update all aspects of the LMS including managing the course catalog, troubleshooting, updating content, create reports/analytics, test upgrades and enhancements to engage learners.
- Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders across the organization to identify target audience learning needs and ensure learning outcomes meet business requirements.
- Coordinate, schedule and manage logistics for various learning programs to ensure activities and deliverables are met.
- Conduct insightful program evaluations.
- Forge strong partnerships to optimize external and vendor training to seamless integrate into the learning journeys and self-assessment tools.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Learning & Development function by identifying ways to continuously improve the design, process, tools and learning experience.
- Keep informed on developments in learning technologies, best practices, and emerging L&D trends; make recommendations as required.
- Accurate and timely reporting on team and learning metrics to demonstrate ROI.
- Work on projects and other duties as assigned.
