Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Truck and Trailer Driver to join our construction team. As a Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites. The work condition and schedule of the job entails highway driving and flexible 10 hour shifts depending on the weather. Your expertise in operating trucks and trailers, coupled with your knowledge of construction site operations, will contribute to the successful completion of our projects. We are located about a 5-minute drive south of Saskatoon, so reliable transportation is a requirement of the position.
Candidates residing in Canada, Saskatoon SK will be considered for the position.

Responsibilities
· Safely operate and maneuver construction trucks and trailers, including flatbeds, dump trucks, lowboys, or other specialized trucks, to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure their safe and proper functioning, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
· Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies onto the truck or trailer using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, cranes, or loaders, while adhering to safety protocols.
· Secure and strap loads down to prevent shifting, damage, or accidents during transportation.
· Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites, following designated routes and schedules.
· Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the truck and trailer on public roads.
· Coordinate with the construction team to determine delivery priorities and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of materials and equipment.
· Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery logistics and address any issues or changes in transportation requirements.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, trip sheets, and any required documentation.
· Perform basic maintenance and routine inspections of the truck and trailer, such as checking fluids, fueling, and cleaning.
· Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle operation, and maintenance.
· Follow proper loading and unloading procedures to ensure the safe and secure handling of materials and equipment.
· Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed, such as general labor or equipment operation, when not engaged in driving responsibilities.
Requirements
· 1A driver’s license required with Quad trailer experience.
· A safe driving record – A currant Drivers Abstract is required
· Reliable transportation to and from work.
· Physically fit with strong stamina and the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout an entire workday.
· Ensuring safe and efficient practices are being utilized when operating tools, equipment, and vehicles.
· Effective English communication skills (both verbal and written).
· Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Smartphone skills an asset for job reporting (personal smartphone with data plan must be used throughout the day for communication, payroll, and reporting).
Work Conditions
· Various locations including both residential and commercial landscape construction sites.
· Working near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
· Working outdoors in various conditions including cold, heat and humidity, rain, dust, and noise.
· Working flexible hours including occasional weekend work, stat holidays, and out-of-town work where required.
