Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and responsible Water Truck Driver, with expertise in operating a single axle water truck and doing small deliveries. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in supporting our landscaping operations and construction projects by providing water for various tasks, site preparation, and other landscaping features. The position is physically demanding and requires a driver that is physically fit and can be available to work early in the mornings and for longer days when needed. Some out of town work is required for the position, but mostly work in and around Saskatoon. Your expertise in operating water trucks will contribute to maintaining the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces. We are located about a 5-minute drive south of Saskatoon, so reliable transportation is a requirement of the position.
Candidates residing in Canada, Saskatoon SK will be considered for the position.
Wages:
· Water Truck Drivers $22-24 per hour

Shifts and Schedules:
· Flexible working schedules Monday to Friday – weather permitting (early mornings and longer days)
· Weekend availability (to make up for rain days, heat waves, etc.)
· Approximately 40-45 working hours a week.
· Out of town travel during the day may be required

Responsibilities
· Safely operate a water truck to transport and distribute water for Landscape construction and maintenance purposes.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the water truck to ensure its safe and proper functioning, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and equipment condition.
· Load and unload water into the truck using appropriate equipment, such as hoses or pumps, while adhering to established safety guidelines.
· Monitor water levels, pressure, and flow rates to ensure proper distribution and efficient watering of plant material.
· Collaborate with the construction team to determine water requirements for different tasks and adjust water application accordingly.
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices related to water usage and conservation.
· Assist in maintaining and repairing the water truck, including regular cleaning, servicing, and minor maintenance tasks.
· Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
· Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the Fleet Manager
· Coordinate with the project manager or supervisor to prioritize water truck tasks based on project needs and timelines.
· Maintain accurate records of water usage, tasks performed, and any maintenance or repair activities.
· Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and coordination on the construction site. Assist with general labour duties when required.
· Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations while operating the water truck on public roads or within construction sites.
Requirements
· Valid 3A Driver’s License - A copy of Drivers Abstract is required
· A safe driving record and with Reliable transportation to and from work sites
· Reliable transportation to and from work.
· Physically fit with strong stamina and the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout an entire workday.
· Ensuring safe and efficient practices are being utilized when operating tools, equipment, and vehicles.
· Effective English communication skills (both verbal and written).
· Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Smartphone skills an asset for job reporting (personal smartphone with data plan must be used throughout the day for communication, payroll, and reporting).
Work Conditions
· Various locations including both residential and commercial landscape construction sites.
· Working near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
· Working outdoors in various conditions including cold, heat and humidity, rain, dust, and noise.
· Working flexible hours including occasional weekend work, stat holidays, and out-of-town work when required.
