Clifton is currently searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our Finance Team on a 15-Month contract in our Regina location. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, the Accounting Clerk will provide support on a variety of financial tasks, including data entry, invoice preparation and processing, processing accounts payables and receivables, assisting with financial reports and records keeping, and other general administrative duties. Key Responsibilities
- Generate client invoices, track accounts receivable, and follow-up on overdue payments.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Set up and maintain clients/vendors in the accounting system; Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization, coding, and adherence to Clifton’s policies.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date financial files and records.
- Collaborate with project managers, internal stakeholders, and external clients/vendors to resolve accounting related inquiries and provide support, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Clifton’s policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma, Certificate, or related coursework in Accounting is preferred.
- Prior experience (1-3 years) as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role an asset.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and procedures an asset.
- Knowledge of ERP solutions and systems an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, in the context of work-life balance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products; Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel required.
- Continued attention to safety and safe work environments, with a strong workplace safety focus.
