Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for a number of Canadian entities and their subsidiaries.
- Process revenue accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- ·Manage month-end close for local and Group accounts.
- Prepare financial reports for all parent entities and their subsidiaries.
- Reconciliation for balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers.
- Report and reconcile inter-company accounts.
- Prepare working files for GST/HST, income tax, internal/external audit, and Statistics Canada/other statutory reporting.
- Data entry and maintenance in accounting systems including Quickbooks and SAP systems.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Participate in finance and accounting projects as directed.
- Provide back-up to other finance and administration functions as needed.
Qualifications and skills:
- You have a University degree and minimum three (3) years of accounting experience in Canada.
- You have completed or are near completing your CPA designation.
- Strong communication skills, well organized, ability to encourage and motivate others, and enjoy working directly with people across the organization.
- Professional approach to customer service coupled with a strong work ethic and natural team aptitude.
- Quick learner and computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system accounting modules).
