POSITION:
The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the casual position of Accounting Clerk.
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, the Accounting Clerk performs accounting work of moderate complexity which includes maintaining accounting records and creating journal entries. This position is required to exercise moderate independent judgement in carrying out job duties and will focus on accounts payable and corporate purchasing card processes, insurance, records management and support for the Office Assistant –
Financial Services.

HOURS OF WORK
This is a casual relief position. Specific hours and days of work will be scheduled on an as needed basis. The hourly wage for this position is $32.00 plus an additional 15.2% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays.
This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $28.80. This is a union position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the
District of Tofino.
