Accountant/Bookkeeper – job description
Commercial and Residential Property Management and Leasing company requires an experienced and detail-oriented accountant/bookkeeper to monitor the finances of our company including but not limited to operation costs, tenant improvement costs, and utilities. Daily, you will record all financial transactions, including bill payments into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate. You will also be responsible for maintaining all financial records, completing required tax forms, processing payroll, manage all rental properties payments, issue invoices, collect payments including PAD, manage multiple accounts, and generate regular spreadsheets and reports for management.
Our ideal candidate has worked as a professional accountant/bookkeeper for at least three years and has experience managing multiple bank accounts. Preferably the candidate has experience in residential and commercial property management and land development. Must be able to process commercial rent and escalation payments. The candidate must be able to support and communicate clearly and effectively with the Office Manager, Property Manager and Owner.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business administration, accounting or relevant field.
· 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
· Must have QuickBooks Online experience.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Detail oriented.
· Understanding of managing multiple bank accounts.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain financial records using QuickBooks Online.
· Maintain ledgers and financial statements.
· Post Journal Entries.
· Input transactions into the correct ledger.
· Reconcile bank and other accounts.
· Pay vendors as they come due.
· Complete required tax forms.
· Maintain all accounts.
· Process company payroll.
· Filing, maintaining hard copies, and electronic filing.
· Rent Rolls for commercial and residential properties.
· Chargebacks to the tenants.
· Residential and Commercial Account statements.
· Other duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $41,979.73-$83,437.72 per year
