As an integral member of our team, you will report directly to the Corporate Controller and be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks across multiple divisions. This role offers exposure to various aspects of our business, including support for all three divisions, providing you with ample opportunities for career advancement.
At Eggs Canna, we adhere to strict guidelines set by Health Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, and LCRB. As the Intermediate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, preparing, and filing reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Dive into the exciting world of ERP Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, handling everything from transaction coding and entry to payment processing, vendor inquiries, and reconciliations. (Emphasize ownership of these tasks)
- Take charge of credit card transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end procedures by owning all GL/AP/AR reconciliations, making a meaningful impact on our financial operations.
- Collaborate with the Operations & QA team to address accounting and administration issues, and update SOPs as needed.
- Prepare and process GST/PST/Payroll remittances to support our compliance efforts.
- Manage data, both digital and paper-based, while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Support day-to-day corporate legal and annual reports.
- Keep our office and facility stocked by placing general supply orders when needed.

What You'll Bring:
- Enthusiasm and passion for pursuing a career in accounting, with a focus on obtaining your CPA designation or a recent diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- A minimum of two years of experience in full-cycle AP/AR accounting, including support for year-end GL reconciliations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or a similar ERP system, preferably with online/cloud experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
- Exceptional ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Highly organized and collaborative, with excellent critical thinking and communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
