OPTIONS NORTHWEST is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to respecting the right of people to live life their way. Through personalized OPTIONS, we collaborate with people and community partners to develop and offer creative personal and clinical services for individuals.
Position will require:
- A degree/diploma in business program, preferably accounting, finance, and/or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of payroll experience.
- Current knowledge of payroll processes.
- Experience working with benefit entitlement, collective agreements and policy and procedures.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- A working knowledge of computer systems including Adagio and UKG Pro & Dimensions systems would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to meet the changing demands of the office environment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and usage of own vehicle may be required.
- A current police records check is required, only upon a conditional offer of employment.
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Payroll and Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible to perform/assist several accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, account analysis and budget preparation and input, as well as general office duties. The Payroll and Senior Accounting Specialist shall work in a safe manner in accordance with OPTIONS’ policy and procedures.
