The Opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a young, dynamic, successful accounting team as a Senior Accountant for Peninsula Employment Services Limited (PES).
Job Overview
You have a progressive accountancy experience having worked in multiple positions. You understand how important cashflow and reconciliations are. How they contribute to having a healthy balance sheet and profit and loss that reflects the true nature of the company activities. You combine excellent technical skills with a good understanding of the business reality.
Success in this role means accurate and timely financial information, clean balance sheet reconciliation, and clear audit trail.
Reporting to
Accounting Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare recuring and exceptional accruals and journals
- Revenue Assurance and revenue reconciliation
- Prepare of balance-sheet reconciliations
- Investigate and solving reconciliation differences
- Forecasts and monitor cashflow
- Calculate and file sales
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and reporting to Group
- Participate in profit and loss variation analysis and finance report
- Initiate bank payments
- Validate Intercompany transactions
- Liaise with Group and other departments as required
- Prepare bad debts, provisions, and other estimates
- Involved in cross-training activities and backups
- Variety of ad hoc tasks and analysis
Skills and Experience Required
- Must demonstrate a progressive experience in accountancy tackling different functions and higher responsibilities
- Able to organise and prioritise workload
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of accounting control procedures
- Solution minded person with analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to use the various mainstream finance and reporting tools: Excel etc
