Summary
The Accounting Assistant will assist the following groups: Operations (Field Sups), Electrical, Top Drive, Equipment Maintenance, Power Systems, Well Control & Boilers.
Responsibilities
- Rostel PR Creation and work orders associated with the equipment, i.e. elevators, cushion sub, etc.
- Resolve VIM Exceptions – any exceptions that have missing PO numbers and other exceptions that AP can’t forward to a specific buyer are usually forwarded to our department to resolve.
- Assist in resolving Open PR/ Pos.
- Support and assist with the creation of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for various departments and functions.
- Assist with the reviewing and adjusting of field direct Purchase Requisitions (PRs), creating Purchase Orders (POs) once approved, and performing the Goods Receipt (GR).
- Support and assist with the creation and closure of Work Orders (WOs) for various departments and functions (PM01, PM02 & PM03).
- Assist with the creation of Work Orders (WOs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for specific equipment through the maintenance plan (Tong Inspections/ Elevators/ Cushion Sub/ Fuel Tank Inspections).
- Support and assist with time confirmations to Work Orders (WOs).
- Verify and post approved freight uploads.
- Assist various departments with posting Goods Receipts (GRs) of items in SAP, as needed.
- Assist in coding non-PO type expenses.
- Assist with entering training expenses in Concur for field employees.
- Assist the Purchasing department in creating Purchase Orders (POs) for various SCBA Cylinder and Fall Arrest Inspections/ Recertifications, as needed.
- Submit new vendor requests through the Vendor Onboarding System.
- Assist in generating and distributing various reports to clear out outstanding items (Outstanding VIM Report, Held POs, Open PRs/POs, and WBS & AFE Report).
- Prepare the month-end EDR spreadsheet, create Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and perform the Goods Receipt (GR).
- Prepare and perform Goods Receipt on monthly Racksite Rental Purchase Orders (POs).
- Prepare and perform Goods Receipt on Equipment Rental Purchase Orders (POs), as needed.
- Prepare and send WBS Request Forms to Fixed Assets in Calgary, as needed.
- Ensure that the VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) system is reviewed on a timely basis.
- Maintain and update procedure manuals for various functions.
- Perform reception duties when required (generate and send the Well Summary Report, prepare freight uploads, prepare the Staples Order, and answer reception calls), and,
- Perform various other duties and administrative responsibilities as required.

Education
Post-Secondary education in accounting is considered an asset.
Experience
2-4 years’ experience in Accounting.
Previous SAP experience is an asset.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
