We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team and help with a variety of accounting tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, assisting with the preparation of tax returns, and dealing with customers one-on-one. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, great organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy of data.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Meet with customers and be comfortable providing solutions.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Analyze financial information and provide recommendations to clients.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- 40 hours per week. 40+ during busy seasons.
Qualifications:
- Accounting diploma or 3 years direct accounting experience.
- Experience in customer-facing roles in high traffic environments.
- Able to think critically and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax principles, as well as general bookkeeping principles.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop.
- Experience with DT Max is an asset.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to identify and prioritize tasks as needed.
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
