Job Description
The Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) Inc. is a 54,900 square foot biomanufacturing facility whose construction was completed in June 2021. The BMC supports the expansion of the country's biologics manufacturing capacity, ensuring that vaccines and other related products can be safely manufactured at home. BMC is designed to create biopharmaceuticals such as viral vector, protein subunit and virus-like particle vaccines and other biologics.
BMC is looking for a Technician Accounting who will coordinate and execute of financial and accounting activities related to the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Under the supervision of the Director, Finances & Corporate Services, the Technician Accounting will be responsible for:
- Prepares, reviews and maintains all accounting records as part of the accounting process, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking transactions and all activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Supports the the payroll process every two weeks and including administration and reporting deductions and legislations requirements.
- Prepares GST/QST reports.
- Follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Banking reconciliation.
- Data entry and validation between procurement and accounting systems.
- Prepare direct payment transactions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Assists in the preparation of budget and forecast process.
- Treatment of Employee expense claims in accordance with company policies.
- Produce financial reporting.
- Supports and coordinates with the department leads, supervisors, procurement and finance in the execution of these responsibilities.
- Other related activity as may be required to support the organization.
You are the person we are looking for if:
- You hold a college diploma in accounting or finance. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
- You have at least two (2) years of relevant experience;
- You are comfortable with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) like SAP, Quickbook, etc and proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) to proficiently handle extraction of data and prepare required reporting.
- You able to work independently and have attention to detail.
