Accounts Receivable Administrator
To management all aspects of residential tenant administration, including, but not limited to:
RESIDENTIAL LEASE ADMINISTRATION:
1. Review and accurately record new tenant applications in Yardi.
2. Prepare Notices of Rent Increases (Form N1) and provide same to property managers in a timely manner for service to tenants no later than 90 days prior to lease renewal date.
3. Analyse tenants accounts and prepare an accurate account of unpaid rent no later than the 8th of each month and provide same to property managers.
4. Prepare and issue default notices (Form N4 – Notice to End a Tenancy), and provide same to property managers to serve.
5. Process lease terminations in a timely manner, process any refunds due, and properly close tenant accounts.
6. Prepare and issue Above Guideline Increases and N1s.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ADMINISTRATION:
1. Accurately enter all rent cheques to tenants’ ledger in Yardi prior to sending to bank for deposit through Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
2. Capture and maintain images of cheques processed through RDC.
3. Review online rent receipts and accurately post to tenant ledger.
4. Record all NSF cheques to tenants’ ledger.
5. Help resolve any issues with bank reconciliation, such as deposit timing differences, discrepancies.
CREDIT & COLLECTION:
1. Prepare summary of unpaid rents for property managers.
2. Prepare analysis of leasing activity by property, including vacancies, vacate notices, etc.
3. Organize and submit required documentation for collection agencies to pursue past tenants.
4. Process payments collected by collection agencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable processing preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting practices and collections principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of people at all levels from customers to management.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in Toronto, ON without sponsorship or exemption.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
