Job Description
Stahl Peterbilt is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team at our Edmonton location for a 1-year term. The successful candidate will be detail orientated, with the ability to prioritize tasks and provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
The Accounting Clerk will be working with both the Accounting Team and Credit Manager to provide customer information, streamline credit functions and reconcile customer and cash receivables as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Field incoming calls about customer information requests
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and collections
- Assist in improvement projects related to Accounts Receivable
- Assist with accounting tasks such as Cash A/R Schedule, Fleet A/R Reconciliation, Fleet Payment Posting, etc..
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with account reconciliation and analysis
- Provide support to the Accounting Department
Education & Experience:
- Accounting certificate or 1-3 years of progressive related accounting experience.
- Previous experience with credit and collections is considered an asset
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and criminal record check
