Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in medical administration and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, maintaining medical records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage the scheduling system efficiently.
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare professionals in organizing and preparing documentation, reports, and correspondence.
- Handle billing and invoicing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Manage the inventory of office and medical supplies, replenishing as needed.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and guidelines, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical administration or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and demands.
