We are looking for team players who can think and work independently as well as support team members doing a variety of duties, while adhering to policies, procedures and processes. In addition, you will exercise your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to ensure the day-to-day administrative duties are carried out smoothly.

Your strong attention to detail and accuracy will help you prepare correspondence and a variety of documents. Your exceptional relationship building skills will help you provide customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, excellent communication skills dealing with individuals in person, over the phone, virtually and in a variety of written formats (e-mail, letters, etc.) will help you be effective in any administrative support role. Our administrative positions provide support to a wide range of operations within the GOA. The responsibilities assigned to a role may be focused on one type of work or may be a combination from various administrative support categories in the following areas:

The Ministry of Alberta Justice is currently looking to fill Administrative Assistant positions in the Grand Prairie Location and below are their Job Responsibilities:

Administrative duties will include general court office filing, data entry, cashier duties including balancing and reconciling daily receipts, counter and telephone reception duties and other functions within the office which will contribute to the overall organization of the court operation and the provision of service to Albertans.

Qualifications


Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of 1 year of experience for 1 year of education or 1 year of education for 1 year of experience.

Administrative Support 3
Temporary/Permanent: $1,571.34 to $1,912.15 bi-weekly ($41,011 - $49,907/year)
Wages: $21.67 to $26.37 per hour

Administrative Support 4
Temporary/Permanent: $1,729.71 to $2,113.42 bi-weekly ($45,145 - $55,160/year)
Wages: $23.86 to $29.15 per hour

Notes

This competition will be used to fill current and future vacancies at the Administrative Support 3 and Administrative Support 4 classifications for wage, temporary and permanent positions across Alberta.

What we offer:



Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate. Out-of-province applicants can obtain the required documents/checks from the province they currently reside in.


Standard work hours are 36.25 hours per week; some positions may work 40 hours per week.
