Job Description
London Lambeth Family Health Organization is seeking a medical office assistant that embodies a thorough knowledge of primary care and have the ability to function effectively in a team environment with physicians, allied health, students, and administrative staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Medical Secretary or Office assistant certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in a clinic and or family practice office.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Evidence of problem solving and conflict resolution skills required.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills required.
- Demonstrates effective listening and verbal skills required.
- Professional in attire required.
- Demonstrates flexibility to accept changes to areas of responsibility as required
- Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentially for all information pertaining to the work environment.
- Status on CPR, FIT Testing and other regulatory occupational health and human resource certifications. Preferred at time of hire then required.
- Current police check at hire (within 6 Months) required.
- Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 and PS Suites EMR software
Working Conditions
- Required to work in a very busy fast paced environment
- Required to work with patients who may have significant emotional and physical challenges.
- Normal working hours are during the day but may be required to work the occasional weekend.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work on a computer and answer the phone for extended periods of time.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
