M&R Engineering Limited is a leading creator, developer, and integrator of mechanical, electrical and energy efficiency and infrastructure renewal solutions in support of economic and environmental sustainability. Our staff includes mechanical and electrical designers, technologists, engineers, construction administrators, and administration support staff. As a design team, we offer additional expertise with LEED™, ASHRAE®, PMP, and BICSI accredited professionals.
We are a strong team that participates in projects over the four Atlantic provinces with Halifax being the home base. We focus on Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Controls and Fire Protection systems for commercial, healthcare, educational, institutional, and/or residential construction.

As a Business Administrator & Marketer for M&R, you will be:
- Searching multiple databases to find new projects to bid on and providing information about projects to management.
- Reading through bid requests, taking note of their requirements, and sharing info with project leaders.
- Collaborating with project leaders to develop proposals.
- Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with clients.
- Maintaining your own database of tasks and upcoming deadlines.
- Sending reminders to project leaders of upcoming proposal deadlines.
- Updating project information regularly.
- Maintaining an organized system of files used for proposals to allow for quick retrieval.
- Making/maintaining a database of previous projects with up-to-date information when they are complete.
- Using previous projects to create and maintain marketing presentations for project leaders to send out to prospective clients at any time.
- Keeping business profiles on social media up to date and showcasing some of our high-profile projects.
- Willing to learn about the industry.
- Willing to listen and carry out instructions.
- Willing to ask questions.
- A team player.
- A part of the Admin team and taking on extra tasks when needed (to cover vacations, lunch breaks etc).
From time to time you may be required to assist the other admin staff with tasks including:
- shop drawings
- specification updates
- answering phones
Salary will be based on indivdual knowledge and experience.
