The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) will work with our Clinicians to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to obstructive sleep apnea patients.

We are looking for a full time MOA for our Burnaby location.
Once part of the team, you are eligible for paid training to become a certified sleep technologist (CPSGT).
Duties include:
- Provide customer service to patients and their family members including greeting and undertaking the patient intake process
- Provide customer service to physicians and other medical professionals referring to the clinics
- Prepare and validate detailed patient information at all stages of the patient journey
- Answer phones, send and receive fax documents, email patients and physicians
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Communicate messages to clinical staff
- Problem solve basic patient issues
- Electronic medical entry of patient demographic and clinical information as required
- Charge capture and billing for patients, including extended health benefits billing
- Create doctor's letters and reports
- Prepare, administer and download diagnostic devices, under the supervision of clinical staff

- Set up and maintain a records management systems, including classifying and coding electronic and hard copy files
- Operate office equipment such as voice mail message systems, photocopiers, fax machines, and document scanners
- Keep examination areas clean, orderly, and stocked with supplies
- Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to prepare medical documentation
- Perform other clerical and administrative functions which may involve, ordering and maintaining an inventory of office supplies, assisting patients in completing intake forms, insurance and other claim forms, or other documents

Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
