The Town of Yarmouth is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant within our Public Works Department.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager of Public Works, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Parks and Public Works Supervisors, Yarmouth Compost Facility Supervisor, Water and Wastewater Chief Operator, and the Yarmouth Fire Department as required. This position is responsible for front line services to customers and members of the public. Performing a variety of administrative, research, coordinating and logistical services in support of the department, the Administrative Assistant contributes to the effectiveness of the Departments as whole.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Post secondary education in the Office Administration field of study
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, ideally supporting multiple departments and staff members
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite 365, and the ability to learn new software/technology systems quickly and efficiently
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be given consideration
