As an Advisory Application Developer, you will build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll be leading planning and building strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How You'll SucceedDesign and Development – With very good programming skills, you will perform and coordinate complex application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.Strategic Planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications. Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements, prepare design specifications, and provide technical support for applications, as instructed by senior team members.Leadership Skills - Act as the development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet objectives. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in:7+ years of Java / J2EE development and strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design3+ years of experience in Angular 7 and higher2+ years in Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, REST API, Hibernate, GIT, JSON, Oracle, SQL / PL/SQL, Maven, JUnit TestIt’s an asset if you have experience in Java/JEE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS), Struts, Hibernate, and Postgres.You have understanding of Jenkins and UI Automation Test. You have worked in Agile / Scrum development methodology.You embrace and champion change.
