Job Description:We have an outstanding opportunity for a passionate/motivated individual to assume the role of Area Sales Manager.
In this leadership role you will be driving sales for our commercial contractors segment regionally (Alberta).
What will you do?
Guide and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to achieve sales quotas and evaluate their performance based on their ability or inability to achieve sales quotas.- Develop technical skills of your team based on market opportunities and evolving portfolio.
- Develop sales skillset among team, driving differentiation and value add.
- Assess sales performance according to KPIs.
- In collaboration with the Regional Sales Director (RSD), work on employee satisfaction actions (OneVoice).
- Ensure sales tools and processes are used properly and efficiently by the team.
- Monitor orders pipeline on a weekly basis.
- Review and assign opportunities based on customer and distributor.
- Lead, monitor and support job closing process.
- Monitor competitors’ sales activity within an assigned territory.
- Perform authorizations with Financial goals and Delegation of Authority (DoA).
- Forecast regional order with the RSD.
- Coordinate and ensure team dynamics in all cross sell initiatives with all SE business units (BUs).
- Develop and implement strategic programs.
- Lead, organize and manage the local outside sales team in order to reach the sales, orders and margins targets.
- Adapt sales focus to meet new opportunities, needs and challenges.
- Maintaining solid working relationships with customers by ensuring that their needs are met and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain C-Level relationships with Top 10 customers.
- Develop innovative sales strategies to increase sales within an assigned territory.
- Monitor and adapt local coverage model based on market dynamics, opportunities and challenges.

University degree of college diploma (preferably in engineering or technical but not essential depending on experience)- 8+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably with commercial contractors
- People management experience desirable
- Ability to work independently outside of the office (remote working) and manage a geographically dispersed customer base
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to Industry and C-Suite audiences
