Our differences make us stronger, more creative, and capable of delivering better results.Lumentum is looking to add a team member to the Calibration and Test Engineering team for Wavelength Management and other Lumentum flagship products.As this role involves extensive lab work, it is required you be based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to perform the duties.Key responsibilities:Collaborate with multi-disciplinary R&D teams to develop calibration and test software for optimizing product performance and ensuring compliance with specifications.Develop test automation software to interface with optical modules and test instruments.Develop test automation software to calibrate and test optical modules.Setup optical test system and validate software, instruments, and device functionalities.Deploy software updates to remotely located manufacturing plants.Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to introduce new software.Through teamwork resolve problems related to product failures or test system issues.Review test data and production trends to enable continuous improvement.Qualifications:2+ years object-oriented (any of C++, Java, C#, VB.NET) software development experience.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldSoftware-inclined candidates from other Engineering and Science disciplines will also be considered.Proven ability to work within a team in a rapid time-to-market product development cycle.Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Assets:Knowledge of optical telecommunications (DWDM/Optical Amplifiers/ROADMs).Understanding of hardware devices such as ADCs/DACs/Clocks/UART.Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Relational Databases.#LI-MH1 Apply Go Back
