Job Description
Mon Pitou is hiring a PT Barista to join our exceptional team in Vancouver's first location. The successful candidate will be the brand ambassador of the company. This is a part-time position ranging between 20-25 hours per week with Saturdays & Sundays availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute coffee orders throughout the day using a state of the art espresso machine
- Perform table service for dine-in guests during brunch hours
- Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the day
- Help with counter-service for pastries and coffee takeaway orders, including UberEats
- Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
- Liaise with other baristas and servers to help where needed
- Perform tasks for opening or closing duties
- Meeting the needs of all guests through customer service and product knowledge
- Stocking/restocking of all in-store products and goods
- Cash handling and transactions
- Help organize, wash and maintain dish-ware
- General housekeeping and maintenance
- Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company
- Ensure customer satisfaction through de-escalation methods
- Prevent or minimize waste
- Perform opening or closing duties depending on the scheduled shift
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must be available to work 20-25 hours a week on Saturday and Sunday. Candidates who are not available both Saturdays and Sundays will not be considered.
- 6 months of experience as a barista in a busy establishment required. Only baristas with manual espresso experience will be considered.
- 6 months of serving is an asset
- Ability to multitask, especially in a fast and high-pressure environment
- Has a sense of business acumen and confidence
- Familiar with operating and troubleshooting POS
- Ability to multitask and handle different priorities at once
- Strong communication and organization skills
