Copper Core Ltd. is a Canadian owned designer and manufacturer of heat exchange products since 1978. Essential Qualifications:
- CPA designation is required.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration is required.
- Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience, including experience with payroll.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage deadlines.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), financial accounting and payroll software (QuickBooks).
- Sound knowledge of relevant payroll legislation, current government programs, and general accounting practices and principles.
- Motivated self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee data.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete full-cycle accounting of month-end and year-end processes, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger analysis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and trial balance.
- Prepare and maintain daily transactional aspects of accounts payable/receivable, purchase orders, invoices, inventory, payroll, and cheque requisitions and bank statements.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets, and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational systems and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare and complete the full-cycle biweekly payroll processing for approximately 50 employees.
- Prepare and complete government remittances, ensuring filing deadlines are met.
- Monitor cash flow of Canadian and U.S. bank accounts.
- Prepare and complete payroll journal entries and online filing of WSIB, EHT, GST/HST, T4, and ROE.
- Assist with vendor account inquires and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Liaison with external accountants.
- Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, with attention to internal control.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management from time to time.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
