About the Opportunity
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording financial transactions, updating statements, and checking financial records for accuracy. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. You will be self-motivated and trustworthy.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform full cycle bookkeeping duties, including A/R, A/P, Payroll, bank reconciliations
· Follow up on outstanding balances/collection, and prepare invoices and cheques
· Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
· Prepare Payroll source deductions, HST and expense reports
· Keep financial records and establish/maintain and balance various accounts
· Respond to inquiries with vendors and customers via email/phone
· Other duties as required including phone calls, quotes request, filing, and summarizing
· Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
· Full cycle accounting knowledge with experience in a related position
· Minimum 2 years experience with Quickbooks Desktop
· Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
· Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and efficient time management skills
· Great attention to detail, high accountability
· Team player with independent judgement and effective interpersonal skills
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Additional pay:
· Discretionary bonus pay
Our year-end is handled by an accounting firm.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
