Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant/ Bookkeeper to join our team at Three Trees Hardwood Flooring. You will be responsible for managing the full cycle bookkeeping of entities, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Handle full cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, invoice processing, adjusting invoice entries, and payment processing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and accounts payable invoices.
- Reconcile client invoicing and accounts receivable reports
- Communicate with clients , vendors, and suppliers regarding purchasing and payments.
- Ensure timely payments to local and overseas vendors.
- Issue checks and handle reimbursement process.
- File companies GST/HST tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Review journal entries and conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports.
- Occasionally assist with answering incoming calls.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting position.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, investigative and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
