Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Foodservice, the position of Senior Brand Manager will support all aspects of the marketing mix to drive demand for On-Premise Foodservice - Potato in North America (NA). This role is a strategic partner to Sales, Customer Marketing, R&D, Innovation, and other cross-functional teams, with the goal of building our brands and growing the category. The ideal candidate must have passion for the operator and consumer, a track record of delivering results, strong analytical and financial acumen, dynamic communication skills, and the experience delivering inspiring integrated marketing plans in service to a Masterbrand.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage the daily activities for the NA On-Premise Potato portfolio as the \go to\ Foodservice Potato expert, understanding the industry, market, customer, competition, and brand.
Develop strategies and tactical plans that support the total NA Potato objectives, goals, and vision - keeping the operator and consumer in mind - as part of the long-range planning process.
Act as a key leader on the category marketing team, partnering with Integrated Marketing, Customer Marketing, and external agencies to align our marketing communications with our brand strategies, ensuring a relevant marketing campaign
Collaborate with the Innovation and Insights teams in the development of McCain's On-Premise Potato innovation pipeline, building a regular cadence of launches with an ownable right to win.
Deliver volume, net sales, profit, and brand equity targets commensurate with KPI's.
Prepare monthly business analysis and report out, utilizing internal and external data and menu trends i.e. NPD, Technomic, Datassentials.
Forge relationships with cross-functional teams to influence Go-To-Market strategies and plans.
Initiate and/or approve packaging (graphics, materials, size, etc).
Develop two direct reports: brand manager and associate brand manager.
What will make you successful in this role:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA strongly preferred)
Minimum 7 years of brand management
Previous experience working in the CPG space and within Foodservice
Ownership of brand or pipeline strategy for a distinct business segment
Self-starter that can find a business opportunity, create compelling business strategies, and explore it entrepreneurially
Strong financial acumen, analytical abilities, communication skills and decisiveness
Ability to influence the organization and key stakeholders with fact-based evidence and salesmanship
Adept with Stage-Gate process to drive decision-making with gatekeepers
Excellent written and oral communication skills (including strong presentation skills)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Passion for, and understanding of, food industry preferred
