We are looking to fill the position of Mountain Shuttle Driver at Fernie Alpine Resort. It’s the end of a long day on the hill, our guests see you round the corner in the shuttle bus and smile with relief – they can finally sit back, relax, and let you take the wheel while you drive them to their destination. The ideal candidate will be an excellent verbal communicator with a customer service orientation and enjoy working in a mountain environment. We will reimburse the cost to get your BC Class 2 Drivers License!
You Will:
- Offer and maintain a friendly and helpful disposition to all guests at all times
- Assist and up sell guests at every opportunity
- Ensure public and personal safety at all times
- Operate a 24-passenger bus during winter road conditions
- Guest service-related tasks upon request of the Director and General Manager
- Complete daily vehicle inspections including gas and oil checks/filling
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
- Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
You Have:
- BC Class 2 Drivers Licenze and/or Unrestricted Class 4 Drivers License.
- Willing to work early morning and evening shifts
- Positive, friendly personality with a willingness to engage guests
- Understands smart guest relations
- Must have reliable transportation for variable shift starts
- Safety orientated, reliable, independent worker
