Job Title: Business Development and Strategic Planning Coordinator
This position is funded by the Employment Service Funding Program. In order to be qualified for this funding, Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is required.

General Job Description:
- Enhances and develops the Business’s structure for the purpose of Business Development and expansion, and attracts outside investors.
- Conducts research and analysis of Business’s long term internal and external strategic goals by researching the education law, market trends, operational aspects, etc.
- Oversee campaigns and events that are intended to bring in more investors for the organization’s project
- Meet investors’ targets by looking for opportunities to reach and attract potential supporters, high-value investors, companies, trusts and governing bodies.
- Develop strategic development plans and perform fundraising techniques in order to secure the resources needed to advance the organization’s work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Enhances and develops the organization’s structure for the purpose of Business Development and expansion and attracts outside investors.
- Conducts research and analyses of the business’s long term internal and external strategic goals by researching Canada and US education laws, market trends, competitors, opportunities, operational aspects and more.
- Presents findings, projections, and recommended actions for a long-term strategic plan, by drafting the business plan, resources, or other appropriate documentation.
- Enhances the organization’s development strategies by planning, implementing, and evaluating company resources policies, programs, and practices, in the area of financing, HR, project budgeting, etc.
- Supports Business’s project planning by establishing a testing and revision program; assist managers on project planning selection; conducting and analyzing exact strategies; and recommending changes.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records,
- Assists with financial reporting requirements, such as, financial statement close process, account reconciliations, etc.
- Perform financial analysis for annual budget and monthly forecasting by variances analysis, trending analysis, ratio analysis, etc.
- Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate progress towards goals/Business Development and expansion and creates future financial plans.
- Develop strategic development plans and perform fundraising techniques in order to secure the resources needed to advance the organization's work.
- Decide which fundraising techniques are necessary in certain situations.
- Conduct research for fundraising opportunities while identifying and exploring different types of investor pools.
- Meet investors’ targets by looking for opportunities to reach and attract potential supporters, high-value investors, companies, trusts and governing bodies.
- Interview potential investors to assess interest in the organization and determine how to best engage.
- Write funding proposals and submit them to potential equity investors.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of campaign events through drafting campaign social media, find creative ways to raise awareness, and writing, submitting, uploading press releases when necessary.
- Establish good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media through planning and managing marketing efforts (through mail campaigns, dinners, and informal events).
- Oversee campaigns and events that are intended to bring in more investors for the organization’s project.
- Organize and attend equity raising events and network with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with Marketing & Communications team to create and distribute invitations, announcements, and other campaign communications to the public.
Qualifications for the job
- The candidate must be Canadian PR or Citizen, and we do not accept any international students for this position.
- You ARE NOT REQUIRING OF the knowledge and skills of the computer languages, and coding to get this position, we will provide necessary basic training at work, according to the assigned, nature of the workload.
- We welcome students who are currently enrolled in a post secondary institution following a degree/ diploma program, to apply.
1) Undergraduates at University level
2) Diploma or advance diploma programs at Public College level
- The candidates who studied in the major related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business and Social Science, considered a priority.
- Basic English reading and writing ability, ability to communicate orally in English.
- Chinese (Mandarin) speaking will be an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Compensation:
- $16.55 per hour, full-time at 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, excluding the statutory holidays.
- Comply with Ontario ESA
Notes:
- Senior level of High school Math, Science, Physics, Biology, and English’s knowledge and skills will be tested at the interviewing section since this position requires candidates to have strong academic background, in order to handle the daily task.
