Pharmasave Alexandria is looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in Alexandria, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications to patients and other healthcare providers
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to the physician orders
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication usage and benefits
- Document all prescribed or administered medications in patients’ charts
- Respond to patient questions or concerns about medications
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas in accordance with company standards
- Participate in drug education programs and educational presentations
- Assist with inventory management of pharmacy supplies
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including cleaning the pharmacy, maintaining work areas, and complying with infection control guidelines.
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a pharmacist
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and practices
- Experience with electronic health records systems and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
