Job Description:
We are looking for a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a skilled machinist/familiar with programming with a proven track record in the field. This person must be able to operate a CNC mill and produce consistent parts with high quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain machinery in a safe manner
- Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation by selecting and installing appropriate jigs and tooling and CNC program.
- Load raw materials to the machine and ensure proper alignment and positioning.
- Review technical drawings, to understand the requirements of the part being manufactured and confirm with supervisor when in doubt.
- Able to program CNC machines using G-code or other CAD/CAM (Mastercam) programming languages.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Able to perform inspection measurements like calipers and micrometers.
- Other duties that maybe required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 3-5 years of experience operating CNC machinery preferred
- Experience with manual tools (drills, grinders, etc)
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics etc.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds from shoulder to shoulder without assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
