RMS provides full millwrighting services including preventive maintenance programs, machine repair, shift coverage, machining, and solutions for equipment issues. We also offer welding and machining services and specialize in designing and manufacturing custom conveyor systems. JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a CNC Machinist at RMS, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines. You will be responsible for producing high-quality components and parts according to specifications, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards, and maintaining efficient production levels.
Skills Include:
- Ability to program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
- Ability to run comfortably Haas controls PRE NexGen controls, comfortable with Fanuc style controls.
- Working safely
- Ability to use Fusion 360 (or equivalent design software) for 2D design and programming for cutting tables
- Able to use various other machining tools such as surface grinders, drill presses, band saws, angle grinders, and small tools
- Able to perform basic maintenance and repairs on above tools and machinery
- Able to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- High degree of accuracy while referencing drawings, programs, and measuring devices
- Experience with operation of CNC plasma cutter and waterjet cutter running Mach 3 software would be an asset
- Commitment to product safety & quality, safe working practices, and continual improvement
- Working independently, as well as in a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and share the knowledge with other team members
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of organization and cleanliness
- Mechanical aptitude
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Training in Lift Truck, WHMIS, and Fall Arrest would be considered an asset but not a requirement
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Safety and punctuality is a must
- Minimum 3 years as a machinist
- Contracting environment: 3 years
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma/Certificate

Salary: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
