Permanent Full Time Position – Remote in Canada, reporting to the GLOBE Series office in Vancouver, British Columbia

POSITION SUMMARY:
The GLOBE Series and CBSR Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager and will work closely with the entire marketing and communications team. You will be responsible for supporting on all marketing and communications functions, including newsletters, social media, websites, and analytics for CBSR and both internal and client facing GLOBE Series projects, including all GLOBE powered virtual, in-person and hybrid events, such as webinars, workshops, and conferences, including our flagship events, GLOBE Forum and GLOBExCHANGE.
This role requires a driven, detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments, while offering strong social media, website, and editorial support to the GLOBE Series and CBSR marketing and communications teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GLOBE Series
o Initial drafts of social posts for GLOBE and client projects (captions, social cards, etc.)
o Initial drafts of current events related social messages (captions, social cards, etc.)
o Initial drafts of GLOBE e-blasts (research, writing, editing, and creating/amalgamating any necessary visuals, etc.)
o Website support
o Analytics support
- Support with GLOBE Good News (sourcing news content, jobs, etc.)
o Social media management support (monitoring, amplification, and engagement)
o Ad hoc support in lead up to GLOBE signature events
o Identify new marcomms tactics, environmental scans, best practices, etc.
o Administrative assistance (video scheduling, invitation support etc.)
CBSR
o Contribute to the monthly CBSR newsletter via research, writing, editing, and creating/amalgamating any necessary visuals, etc.
o Support around Sustainable Procurement Fellowship campaigns, including strategy, socials captions, graphics, editing emails, etc.
o Quality control on other written materials as necessary (grant applications, emails, etc.)
o Website and graphics support
o Social media management support (monitoring, amplification, and engagement)
- Analytics support
- Net zero leaderboard support
- Member events coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is an asset.
· Two plus years of experience in a marketing, communications role and/or social media role.
· Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, and work independently, take initiative, and exercise good judgment.
· Experience with social media management and content creation.
· Experience with virtual events and working with various events platforms (Zoom, etc.). Experience working in client-facing event delivery.
· Keen interest in sustainability, climate change, social justice, cleantech or innovation.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with detail-oriented mindset. Specifically, ability to:
o Work effectively under pressure of high volume and deadlines.
o Handle diverse assignments simultaneously.
o Work on multiple projects (events) simultaneously.
o High degree of attention to detail.
· Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Excellent editing skills and quality control skills.
o Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Working knowledge of marketing and communications best practices and trends.
o Working knowledge of video conferencing and event technology platforms.
o Working knowledge of WordPress is considered an asset.
