The Opportunity
Hi, I’m Hieg, CISO at Thrive Health. We’re looking for a Senior Security & Compliance Developer
to join a new team that is working on a new product at Thrive Health! The Security & Compliance Developer plays a crucial role in ensuring that Thrive Health adheres to relevant security, privacy, and compliance laws, regulations, and industry standards. They will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that protect end user and customer data confidentiality and enable effective compliance monitoring, reporting, and risk management.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand compliance requirements and translate them into effective software solutions;
- Design, develop, and deploy compliance-oriented applications, tools, and systems that automate, monitor, and track compliance activities;
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the organization as well as proactively suggest and implement enhancements to existing compliance software solutions;
- Implement software solutions that enable ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Conduct risk/threat assessments and implement controls to mitigate compliance and security risks;
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting compliance-related data as well as identify and escalate potential compliance issues to appropriate stakeholders;
- Provide input on software development projects to ensure compliance considerations are adequately addressed;
The Skills You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development with proven experience with TypeScript, node.js, react.js. Mobile experience is a bonus (Kotlin, Swift, React Native);
- Understanding of secure development and design practices including OWASP Top 10, ASVS Level 2, etc.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO, HIPAA, SSAE16);
- Experience with GraphQL / REST APIs and server-side development
- Sound knowledge of SQL and have good knowledge of Cloud Ops and networking;
- Experience working with web & mobile security audits;
- Strong organizational and mentorship skills;
- High-level written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-quality products;
- Experience in white-label product development is a plus;
