Will your knowledge of high-rise and residential construction support our multi-residential strategy as we elevate our industry? As a Project Manager you play a key role in all aspects of building projects. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, you will work closely with consultants, trades, public officials, ownership, internal team members on all phases of the project.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume overall responsibility for managing the construction process, including defining project scope and identifying a critical path, establishing key milestones and leading the timing of each construction stage
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
- Determine the resources required to ensure all aspects of the project are managed appropriately
- Lead design and coordination meetings
- Liaise with partners, consultants, construction management teams, building trades, building department and municipal staff
- Oversee the financial monitoring of the project inclusive of forecasting, schedule progress, design changes and potential construction over-runs
- Coordinate all aspects of development and permit applications
- Manage consultant working drawing groups and meetings
- Conduct project reviews and create/generate reporting as required
- Develop effective ways to measure and analyze the project’s progress.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mixed-use Residential, Commercial, and/or Retail construction
- A university or college degree in a related field: planning, engineering, architecture, or construction management
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and manage a project team
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability analyze drawings for site, building, and suite plans
- Resilient and works well under pressure
