Job Description
Interior Elite Contracting is looking for a Project Manager to add to our team! The applicant should be well versed in home building and/or renovations and be proficient in planning, organizing, and controlling projects, completing quality inspections, and supervising sub-contractors and staff. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of project management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
· Project Planning:
o Develop and create project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
o Coordinate all pre-project testing, permitting, surveys, etc. needed to ensure project success and compliance with health and safety and building regulations.
· Budget Management:
o Create and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
o Monitor project expenses and costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
o Approve and track subcontractor and supplier invoices.
· Schedule Management:
o Develop detailed project schedules, including critical milestones and timelines.
o Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and phases.
o Implement schedule adjustments as necessary to accommodate changes and delays.
· Resource Coordination:
o Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
o Coordinate with suppliers and clients to ensure timely selection and procurement of all job supplies necessary for projects
· Quality Assurance:
o Ensure construction activities meet quality standards and comply with BC building codes and regulations.
o Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify defects.
o Implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
· Risk Management:
o Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies in conjunction with our safety officer.
o Implement safety protocols and monitor site safety to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Communication:
o Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and building inspectors.
o Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates to all stakeholders.
o Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
· Change Management:
o Assess and manage project changes, including scope adjustments and change orders.
o Communicate change requests to relevant parties and obtain necessary approvals.
o Evaluate the impact of changes on the project schedule and budget.
· Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders in both digital and paper formats as required.
o Prepare and submit project progress reports to management and clients.
o Keep detailed records of project activities and correspondence.
· Project Closeout:
o Ensure a smooth project handover at completion, including final inspections and sign-offs.
o Conduct a comprehensive project review to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
o Prepare and deliver project closeout documents to the client.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes and efficiency.
o Participate in professional development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.
The Project Manager must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience dealing with homeowners and buyers in custom residential renovations in a lead or journeyman position. They must also have the knowledge and ability to manage and/or complete some or all these tasks and more depending on the project:
o Excavation
o Foundation
o Services
o Framing
o Insulation
o Drywall boarding
o All finishing work
o Flooring installs [laminate, vinyl, hardwood]
o Siding
o Deck building
o Tile installs with prep work
o Door and window installs
o Cabinet installs
Interior Elite Contracting Ltd. offer competitive wages and the potential for paid mileage or provided work truck. The Project Manager will be expected to work flexible hours and reports to the company owners. On occasion, workers may be asked to work weekends or holidays as required.
Interior Elite Contracting Ltd. requires that all employees must be:

We have a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy at work. All employees are required to have a reliable vehicle and drivers license, as our work is all throughout town and public transit may not be available.. All employees are required to provide: steel toe work boots and appropriate work clothes.

Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
